Skin types at a glance: which tallow balm when?
Tallow balms made from grass-fed beef tallow are water-free and rich. They form a fine protective film on the skin and help keep moisture in. How to use them best depends on your skin type.
Dry skin
Dry skin often feels tight after washing and quickly turns rough. The Ritual Set fits well: the Day Balm in the morning, the richer Night Balm in the evening – a pea-sized amount on slightly damp skin. Read more: Tallow for dry skin.
Sensitive skin
If your skin reacts quickly to new products, start with the Day Balm as your only product and patch-test it first. Read more: Tallow for sensitive skin.
Mature skin
With age, skin produces fewer lipids. The Night Balm with retinyl palmitate, a gentle vitamin A ester, is made for the evening; together with the Day Balm it forms a complete routine. Read more: Tallow for mature skin.
Combination skin and skin that gets shiny
Rich balms are not ideal for every skin. If your T-zone gets shiny quickly, use very little Day Balm and only on dry areas. If your skin is shiny almost everywhere, a light, oil-free moisturiser is usually the better choice. Read more: Tallow for combination skin.
Normal skin

The quiz asks about typical signs such as how your skin feels after washing and how it reacts to new products. It gives a skincare recommendation, but it is not a skin analysis and not medical advice.
Does tallow suit every skin?
No, and we say so honestly. For very oily skin that gets shiny almost everywhere, rich water-free balms are usually not the first choice, and the quiz will tell you that. For skin conditions, please ask a dermatologist first.
Are my answers stored?
